Greetings
My name is Luke Retana, and I’m currently a sophomore at Boise State University. I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho, and I truly love being part of this community. I work in the Athletic Department doing Creative Services (Video) and Equipment Operations. This year, I’ve had the opportunity to be the primary video contact for Boise State Women’s Basketball, handling everything from creative content to game-day coverage. I’m working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Media with an emphasis in Sports Media and Information. Through this program, I hope to gain the technical skills, hands-on experience, and industry connections I need to become a professional sports videographer and editor at the collegiate or professional level. Some skills I currently have, and am continuing to grow are
Sports Videography and Editing – Capturing high-quality video and producing compelling highlight reels and storytelling content for athletic programs.
Studio and Field Production – Managing video equipment, lighting, and audio in both controlled and live sports environments.
Strategic Communication and Content Creation – Crafting visual content that aligns with team branding, social media strategies, and audience engagement goals.
Project and Time Management – Balancing multiple deadlines across live events, edits, and classwork while maintaining a consistent level of professional quality.
